Step Brothers

So as you can see from the image above I originally posted this way back in 2008. Ive decided to re-start my blog of eternal stench blog and am going to start by re-posting my reviews from yesteryear. So without further ado, My review of Step Brothers:

I love Will Farrell but his last few movies have left me more than a little concerned that he may have run his comedic race already.
One of those movies that earned a fail also started John C. Reilly so as you can imagine I didn't have high hopes for Step Brothers staring both actors.

Yay I was wrong again! so so very wrong.
I laughed hard right from the very first scene till the extra bits in the credits!

One thing I didn't know was that some of the new comedy masters behind Anchor Man and Superbad were also behind this movie.

Two of the funniest scenes take place between John C. Reilly and the relatively unknown Kathryn Hahn (who's part I can help but think was written for Molly Shannon). Kathryn is super funny and got to say things like....."its cosy" at the most inappropriate moment ever, you just have to see/hear it.

The story itself was very predictable and in some parts seemed quite slow but the one liners were spectacular and they were delivered in the funniest way possible by these two awesome actors.

I don't really know to summarize this movie so I have decided to just give you some one liners to look out for:
- its slippery..
- its cosy..
- i thought it was going to be silent..
- I'm gonna tbag your drums..
- well u have to call me night hawk.
- son, we have literally never done any of those things.
- do you want to go do Karate in the garage?

This movie is worth seeing even if you fall asleep for the whole movie and only catch one of these three scenes:
1. "I want to roll you into a little ball....."
2. John sitting on the bed with a starwars mask on while chatting to Will.
3. the final job interview the boys have.

the end
